SISTER ROSE AWARD ANNOUNCED FOR 2021

January 25, 2022 By NBHSPN

Patrick Sullivan, Sr. Rose Award Recipient 2021 greets Sr. Rose at the opening of the new Sr. Rose Shelter in New Bedford in 2016.

The HSPN presented its Annual Sister Rose Award for 2021 to Patrick J. Sullivan during its virtual January HSPN membership meeting.

The award recognizes an outstanding current or former member of the New Bedford HSPN or member agency staff and is named in honor of its first recipient, Sister Rose Ellen Gallogly, former Executive Director of Market Ministries (renamed the Sister Rose House) and one of the founding members of the HSPN.

Mr. Sullivan was recognized for his almost three decades of service as Director of the Office of Housing & Community Development, the administrative entity of the HSPN and was cited in the course of the award presentation as one who “has always been a very dedicated advocate whose heart, compassion goes beyond numbers and reports…a great humanitarian that  works to ensure things are done as they should be.”

This is the seventeenth year this prestigious award has been presented.  Read more about the award and Patrick Sullivan’s work in the Sister Rose Award Press Release 01.20.2022.
